These tables were designed to complement the Hartmann bed frame. David's idea for his bedroom set was to use only one wood, planchonia, to emphasize the clean lines and joinery intersections of each piece. The diminishing curves of each table emphasize the arched headboard when flanking David's bed frame and the intersections of the tables are slightly proud to rhyme with the details of the bed frame and to draw in the hand and eye.
